My November Beauty Essentials
Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a product junkie, which is why I'm always happy when I discover new natural brands and products to add to my growing beauty arsenal. With so many options available, I love being able to test out new items and switch up my beauty routine. Here are the five new products that I currently can't get enough of.
Soapwalla: Phosphorescence Facial Mask
With winter on the way, my skin is already starting to get dry and flaky. The best remedy? A facemask of course. This Soapwalla facial mask not only heals and clarifies, but it's suitable for all skin types.
Island Joy: Jamaican Grapefruit Body Scrub
I'm a sucker for a good smelling product, which is why I'm obsessed with Island Joy. This is an amazing Canadian brand that was founded by a mother/daughter duo. The collection consists of 100% natural sugar body scrubs inspired by the Caribbean, so you can only imagine how incredible the products smell - picture scents like Bahamian Berry and Bajan Lime. With winter on its way, do your skin a favour and snag one of Island Joy's body scrubs so you can combat dry and flaky winter skin in seconds.
Indie Lee: Blemish Stick
When I started to make my transition to natural beauty products, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to find anything to treat impromptu blemishes. I was, however, thankfully mistaken and recently picked up Indie Lee's Blemish stick from the Detox Market in Toronto and It's safe to say I'm obsessed! The best part is it goes on clear and can be reapplied throughout the day - even over your makeup!
Glossier: Birthday Balm Dotcom
If I can find a product that's multifunctional, you better believe I'm going to need it. Glossier's iconic Balm Dotcom doesn't just hydrate, nourish and repair dry skin but it also locks in moisture. I'm obsessed with the Birthday flavour, which was actually inspired by Milk Bar's famous cake (see image on the left if you don't know what I'm talking about). PLUS, it gives off a subtle shimmer, so I love dabbing it on lids, cheeks and lips as a highlighter.
The Innate Life: Rose Hair Elixer
Founded by clean beauty enthusiast Bhavna Kashyap, Innate Beauty only uses the highest quality herbs and ingredients, which is something we could all use a little more of. I'm hooked on the Rose Hair Elixer, as it's literally the Holy Grail of hair care products. It's made with over 15 organic oils and can be used to nourish split ends (I'm the queen of those), tame frizzy hair, repair damaged hair AND it adds shine! What more could you want?
