It comes as no surprise that Toronto is home to countless options for where you can treat yourself to a little TLC. Seriously, every inch of the city is jam-packed with nail salons and beauty bars, each catering to a different crowd and need. However, there's a new nail salon and beauty bar on the scene that needs to get on everyone's radar ASAP.

Located in the bustling Queen East neighbourhood is Barefoot Beauty, an Instagram-worthy all-natural nail salon and beauty bar that boasts some of my favourite environmentally friendly beauty brands including ZOYA, VO Bath & CO., and Mabrook and CO. to name a few.

But what truly sets this gem from the rest of the crowd is that it's owned and operated by chiropodist Emily Stock, whose passion for health and wellness can be felt the moment you walk through the salon's door.

If you're anything like me and you're interested in living a more environmentally friendly lifestyle (beauty regiment included), you'll be thrilled to know that Barefoot Beauty only uses natural products made with the highest quality ingredients, including nail polishes that are all 5-free.

For those who don't know what 5-free means, it's kind of like the new gold standard when it comes to non-toxic polishes, and are free from formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, and camphor.

As more beauty brands become more transparent about what goes into their products, it's important to pay attention to what you're putting on your body and at least this way you can leave the salon with some peace and mind knowing that the polish you opted for isn't laden with toxic and harmful chemicals.

But it's not just the polishes and the fun products for sale in the front of the salon that are safe for both you and the environment, but the other services offered at the salon as well.

From using medical-grade sterilized tools to offering environmentally-friendly and hygienic waterless services to making a lot of its own service products in-house, you can sit back, relax and fully enjoy your experience at Barefoot Beauty as you'll know that your beauty routine is doing no harm.

Barefoot Beauty, however, isn't just about manicures, the salon also offers a wide-range of services including waterless pedicures, facial and full body waxing with the salon's professionally trained estheticians, and a full retail shop.

So if you're looking to treat yourself to an all-natural nail and beauty experience, I highly recommend paying the wonderful team at Barefoot Beauty a visit.
